"Vicki and Sam Tarney help Terry Chandler (above left) with last minute work on a holiday meal whose preparation began at 2 a.m. Volunteers and employees at Chandler's restaurant, Fred's Cafe, carried on a tradition started by his parents 28 years ago, preparing food on Christmas Day for the needy.
